We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and technically minded individual to join our growing technical team. A key aspect of this role involves the planning, delivery, and installation of our immersive and sensory room systems across the UK. This role requires nationwide travel, with occasional overnight stays.
Applicants should have previous experience in a technical or hands-on installation role (not necessarily within this sector, as full product training will be provided). A strong eye for detail, good computer literacy, and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix AV cabling with accuracy and attention to detail
- Install and configure projectors, touch screens, control systems, and CCTV equipment
- Assemble and install soft play and sensory equipment to specification
- Interpret technical drawings, installation guides, and system layouts
- Use basic computer systems for configuration, testing, and documentation where required
- Attend training courses to maintain and develop technical skills and product knowledge
- Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard, with careful attention to alignment, safety, and finish
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail, particularly when working to technical plans and instructions
- Competent with basic hand tools
- Good general computer literacy (ability to follow software-based setup/configuration processes)
- Full UK driving licence (clean preferred; some points considered)
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated to work independently
- Flexible approach to work, including overnight stays where required
- Comfortable working in practical and sometimes challenging environments
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- CSCS card holder
- First aid trained
- Stronger IT knowledge (networking, device setup, AV systems, or similar)
- Experience working at heights
