Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate and experienced Personal Care Assistant for 8 hours for two afternoons per week. On either Monday or a Thursday or a Friday afternoon to provide high-quality support to him. This role involves assisting a 21 year-old male with Autism and can show some Challenging Behaviour out in the community sometimes. You will be supporting with daily activities alongside another worker, promoting independence, and ensuring his wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in his life while developing valuable skills within the care sector.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Maintain accurate records of care provided and support in the community.
Communicate effectively with clients, family.
Experience working with Individuals with Autism and Challenging behaviors
Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to each individual
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with client
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others and improve their quality of life
