Customer Service Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the shop.

Key Responsibilities

Providing friendly, helpful, and professional service to customers.
Building positive relationships with customers and encouraging repeat business.
Serving customers and handling transactions accurately.
Replenishing stock and carrying out general housekeeping duties.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented shop environment.
Completing date checks and temperature checks in line with company procedures.
Conducting age-verification checks and ensuring compliance with Challenge 25 and all relevant legislation.
Following company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Supporting colleagues during busy periods and assisting with additional tasks as required.

Hours

Between Opening hours of 7am to 10pm - various shifts avaliable
Flexibility is essential, as the role will include weekend working, holiday cover, and sickness cover.

A friendly, reliable, and professional attitude.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Completing reports and administrative tasks.
Organising shift cover and staff rotas.
Providing clear instructions and guidance to team members.
Managing stock levels and assisting with stock ordering.
Demonstrating leadership and promoting effective teamwork.
Acting as a key holder and ensuring the security of the premises.
