Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Post Office Counter Clerk to provide excellent customer service and support in our busy postal facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling postal transactions, assisting customers with their postal needs, and maintaining an organised work environment. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with postal services, including mailing parcels, selling stamps, and processing packages
- Handle cash, card transactions, and data entry accurately using relevant software
- Manage customer enquiries efficiently via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain organised records of postal transactions and customer information through data entry and clerical tasks
- Ensure the counter area is tidy, well-stocked, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Skills
- Preferable to have had experience as a Post Office counter Clerk but happy to support training if in need of refreshing.
- Good communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate processing of postal transactions and record keeping
