- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a respectful and productive atmosphere.
- Mentor students by providing guidance on academic pursuits and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum enhancements and organise extracurricular activities like creative writing clubs or journalism projects.
- Utilise organisational skills to keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and behavioural reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavioural concerns.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring across various subjects
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies to foster a positive classroom environment.
- Organisational skills necessary for lesson planning, record keeping, and coordinating activities.
- Ability to proofread and edit student work for clarity and accuracy is advantageous.
- A recognised teaching qualification or relevant educational background is preferred but not mandatory.
