Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our CAMHS Eating Disorders Team on a 22.5 hours/week, 10month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). The service provides specialist assessment and treatment for young people up to 18 with eating disorders (AN, BN, BED, ARFID), alongside comorbid mental health needs such as anxiety, low mood, and neurodiversity.
You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT) including nursing, psychiatry, psychology, family therapy, psychotherapy, dietetics, and occupational therapy, working collaboratively and systemically. The role offers strong peer support, clinical supervision, and opportunities for training and professional development, supported by a robust induction programme.
Key responsibilities include supporting the duty service with referral triage, conducting specialist assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and contributing to the intensive home treatment pathway.
Applicants should be a qualified Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration and experience working with young people and complex mental health needs in community settings. Knowledge of eating disorders and child/adolescent mental health is essential, with experience in neurodevelopmental conditions desirable.
