Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional service to guests, preparing and serving food and beverages, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately for food and drinks
Serve beverages and meals in a timely and professional manner
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following safety standards
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas
Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently
Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to assist guests effectively
Uphold food safety standards and responsible alcohol service at all times
Assist with setting up tables, clearing after guests, and resetting for new customers
Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest experience and encourage repeat visits

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety regulations is advantageous
Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
Proven ability to serve with professionalism and courtesy in a fast-paced setting
