About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and creative Playworker to join our team. You will help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can play, learn, and develop through a wide range of activities. Playworkers support children’s social, emotional, and physical development by encouraging imaginative, child-led play and positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
● Supervise and support children during play sessions.
● Plan and deliver fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
● Set up and maintain safe play spaces and equipment.
● Encourage participation, inclusion, and positive behaviour.
● Provide refreshments and support children during snack times.
● Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
● Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection procedures.
● Maintain records, accident logs, and attendance registers where required.
What We’re Looking For
● Experience working with children in a school, childcare, holiday club, or community setting.
● A friendly, patient, and energetic approach.
● Strong communication and teamwork skills.
● Ability to engage children in creative and active play.
● Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety practices.
● Relevant childcare or playwork qualifications are essential.
