Job Summary
Swimming Teacher – East Midlands Swimming Academy

The East Midlands Swimming Academy (EMSA) offers some of the highest-quality swimming lessons across the East Midlands. We currently operate at over 15 pools, including locations in Alfreton, Annesley, Shirebrook, Derby, Castle Donington, Nottingham, Ravenshead, West Bridgford, Newark, Worksop, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.

We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate swimming teacher to join our team at our hydrotherapy pool in Alfreton

Hours available:
Starting September 2026
Saturday 8.30am - 12pm
Excellent pay rates offered, There will also be opportunities for additional cover shifts at any of our other EMSA pools.

We are looking for experienced teachers only, with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional swimming tuition.

Requirements

Swim England or STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
Personal Insurance
Enhanced DBS
First aid training desirable
Safe Guarding Certificate
Experience delivering the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme
Minimum 2 years teaching experience
Ability to teach children of all ages and abilities up to stage 6

Can help every swimmer reach their full potential through the Swim England Learn to Swim Pathway
Demonstrate excellent teaching techniques and professionalism
Work well independently and as part of a team
Are willing to travel to other EMSA pools when required
Are self-employed and hold your own insurance
