Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, to contribute to our production processes.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on a variety of materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
- Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding and welding techniques.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal work and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
- Good basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of assembly processes related to metal fabrication.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail for precise work.
