About the Role
JMG Fencing Contractors is a fast-growing company working across new build development sites. As our workload continues to increase, we are creating a dedicated full-time Customer Care & Snagging role to support the business and maintain our high standards.
Traditionally, snagging work has been carried out by our site teams alongside their main installations. However, due to growth, we now need a dedicated, experienced fencer to take full ownership of this area—ensuring all snagging works are completed efficiently and to a high standard without disrupting our main teams.
This is a key role within the business, focused on quality control, customer care, and maintaining our reputation with both site teams and customers.
The Role Will Include
- Attending multiple sites daily to complete snagging works
- Working through snagging lists provided by the office team
- Completing remedial works on fencing installations (timber, metal, concrete)
- Visiting occupied properties to resolve customer care issues where required
- Liaising with site managers, clients, and homeowners professionally
- Taking before and after photos and reporting progress back to the office
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and signed off efficiently
- Supporting the business in maintaining excellent customer satisfaction
How the Role Works
You will work closely with our office-based Customer Care Coordinator, who will:
- Manage all incoming snagging and customer care queries
- Plan your daily schedule and routes
- Provide clear job information and track progress
Your role will be to carry out the work on site, manage your time effectively, and ensure all snags are completed and closed down promptly.
Working Hours & Setup
- Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 17:00
- Weekend work available when required
- Work carried out independently across multiple sites
- Daily workload and routes will be planned by the office team
- Travel from our yard near Naseby (NN6 9LH)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a fencer
- Full Manual UK driving licence
- Valid CSCS Labourer Card
- Confident using hand and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, grinders, etc.)
- Ability to install and repair various fencing types (timber, metal, concrete)
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage your own workload
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality of work
- Good communication skills when dealing with site teams and customers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £130.00-£150.00 per day
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Northampton NN6 9LH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- fencing: 1 year (preferred)
