Full job description

We are looking for reliable, full time staff to join our team on the farm!

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a full-time Dairy Staff Member. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the dairy herd, ensuring high standards of animal health, welfare, and milk quality are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Pushing up cows whilst milking
Milking cows to a high standard, following strict hygiene and welfare protocols
Assisting with calving, calf rearing, and youngstock management
Feeding and bedding livestock, maintaining clean and comfortable housing
Monitoring cow health and behaviour, identifying and reporting issues promptly
Administering treatments and supporting herd health routines under supervision
Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment safely
Assisting with record-keeping and data input (e.g. milk yields, treatments, breeding)
General farm maintenance and yard work
Working as part of a small, supportive team to ensure smooth farm operations

Requirements

Previous experience working with dairy cattle is essential
A genuine interest in livestock and agriculture
Good attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible approach to working hours (including weekends, nights and early mornings)
Tractor/machinery experience desirable
Full UK driving licence essential
Fluent English Speaking
Tele handler ticket is a bonus but not essential
must be competent pushing cows around to bring them to milk

Working Hours & Benefits

Full-time position
Rotating shifts to include weekends and some bank holidays
Competitive rates of pay depending on experience
On-farm accommodation can be available for the right candidate
Training and development opportunities provided

Previous dairy experience is essential. This role has a large amount of scope for the right candidate, therefore a can do attitude and willingness to learn is necessary.

Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour
