About Wilds Lodge School

Welcome to Wilds Lodge School, a specialist, therapeutic weekly boarding and
day school for learners with unique learning profiles aged 5-19 years old. We
welcome boys and girls (girls are accepted as day learners only) primarily with
social, emotional and mental health needs.

Set across two sites, Wilds Lodge (Primary) and Crossroads (Secondary and Post-
16), we are located in the heart of the Rutland countryside. Situated just outside
Stamford, the school is set within extensive, beautiful grounds with an additional
boarding accommodation for our Post-16 learners in Stamford town.

Job Description

Salary: £22,674.64
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.30am - 4.30pm (term time)
Start Date: September 2026
Reporting to: Senior Administrators and Head of School

Aim of the post: Be the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, staff and
students. As the ‘face’ of the school the receptionist should be welcoming, personable,
helpful and able to represent the School in a professional and friendly manner. In
addition it is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work
flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach to work, as no two days are the same. The
postholder is also required to assist with ensuring proper flow of office procedures,
and support the Senior Administrator’s by carrying out common office duties and the
various administrative tasks, requiring a high level of IT skills.

Main Duties

Reception and Front Office:

To act as first point of contact for the school: Welcome visitors, ensuring
safeguarding protocols are followed (e.g. check visitor ID, issue visitor badges and
manage sign-in system)
Manage incoming calls, emails and post, forwarding messages accurately and
promptly in a helpful constructive manner, ensuring that appropriate actions are
taken in a timely fashion
Provide hospitality for visitors and refreshments for meetings
Maintain the appearance and organisation of the reception area

General Administration:

Support with daily administrative duties including photocopying, scanning, filing,
shredding, and drafting correspondence
Archive documentation in line with school data retention policies
Maintain accurate learner records and support with new/leaver data updates
Responsible for ensuring the recording of learner attendance data and reasons for
absence
Help to maintain and update school information and databases
Receiving and passing on information between parents, teachers and care staff
All supportive administration duties as directed by the Senior Administrators and
Assistant Heads of Education
Support Data and Timetabling with agency staff requirements

Support staff with general enquiries and office needs
To accept and sign for deliveries as appropriate

Recruitment and HR Administration Support:
Support with recruitment logistics including preparing interview packs
Support onboarding administration, staff ID badges, new staff photos, uniform,
and induction packs
Support with staff absence management

Professional Development:

To engage in supervision and appraisal processes
To engage in professional development opportunities
To attend training as required

Other

To have professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school and
maintain high standards in your own attendance and punctuality
Perform any reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Administrators
