The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Perle Oban Hotel & Spa on a full-time, permanent basis at 40 hours per week.
This is a hands-on role responsible for helping maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel. From guest rooms and public spaces to essential back-of-house systems, your work will play a key role in ensuring the property is safe, functional, and maintained to high standards. What You'll Be Doing

Determining whether machinery, equipment and technical installations need to be repaired, as well as completing our systems' and equipment's preventive maintenance

Maintaining and repairing our plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen and HVAC systems and equipment

Determining appropriate remedial actions for mechanical and related equipment failures

Complete pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) and residual circuit device checks (RCD), to an excellent level of quality

Having the physical capability of performing demanding tasks such as bending over, climbing ladders, crawling into awkward places, standing, or walking for extended periods of time

Working closely with the Operations Manager and the Projects, Building & Estates Manager in making sure that preventative and maintenance priorities are up to date and executed to a high standard of excellence.

Practice our health and safety measures at all times

Follow the hotel's guest relations policy, including always politely addressing our guests and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, ideally within hospitality or a similar environment

Good all-round maintenance knowledge, including electrical, plumbing, and general repair work

Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach

Reliable, organised, and able to work independently

Comfortable carrying out physically demanding tasks

A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider hotel team

Awareness of health & safety procedures and safe working practices
