Apprentice Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and hardworking team at our independent vehicle repair workshop on the Slough Trading Estate.

Established in 2012, we have built a strong reputation for providing high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs to both local businesses and private customers. We work on a wide range of vehicles, from small cars to commercial vans and tipper trucks, providing excellent opportunities to gain varied hands-on experience.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars and wants to build a long-term career in the motor industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Vehicle Technician, you will receive practical training while working alongside experienced mechanics and technicians. You will learn:

Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
Diagnostics and fault finding
Brake, steering and suspension repairs
Engine and transmission repairs
Vehicle inspections and MOT preparation
Electrical and electronic systems
Safe workshop procedures and good housekeeping

You will also attend college as part of your apprenticeship programme, working towards a recognised qualification such as an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

Has a genuine interest in vehicle mechanics and the automotive industry
Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Works well as part of a team
Is keen to develop new skills and complete their apprenticeship
Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
