Full job description

Are you a nursery manager, deputy, or administrator who's spent time processing funding claims, parent queries, and completing the funding paperwork? That experience is exactly what we need. Our best support advisors aren't software experts, they're people who've worked in a nursery office, chased funding forms and submitted claims to Local Authorities. If that's you, we'll teach you the software side.

Funding Loop is an established and fast-growing software company specialising in streamlining the Early Years funding process for nurseries and Early Years settings across England. Following a period of significant growth, we are expanding our team and we're looking for someone who knows Early Years funding from the inside.

We are a small, passionate team dedicated to simplifying the Early Years funding claims process for nurseries and Early Years settings. Our software reduces complexity and administrative burden for both Early Years settings and parents.

About the Role

As a Customer Support Advisor, you will be part of a friendly and collaborative support team. You'll be the first point of contact for nursery managers and staff using our platform, helping them with exactly the kind of funding and admin questions you've probably answered yourself, just from the other side of the phone or email. No coding, no tech background required. We'll train you fully on our systems.

This role offers a balance of teamwork and autonomy, giving you ownership of your workload while working closely with colleagues across the business. It also provides opportunities to develop your technical and customer support skills as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email, and live chat, ensuring queries are handled promptly and professionally.
Support nursery managers, owners, and staff with software-related questions, guiding them through features and functionality.
Diagnose and troubleshoot software issues, escalating more complex problems to the appropriate team when required.
Log, track, and manage support tickets accurately, maintaining clear records of customer interactions.
Prioritise and manage your workload effectively, ensuring urgent issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of support resources such as FAQs, knowledge base articles, and user guides.
Collaborate with colleagues to share customer feedback and help drive ongoing product improvements.

Essential Skills & Requirements

Knowledge and experience of the Early Years sector and funding processes
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Highly organised and efficient, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Confident using Windows-based software and applications.
Strong IT literacy with a proactive and positive approach to learning new systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving ability, with the confidence to apply knowledge and experience to resolve customer issues.

Desirable Skills / Experience

Previous experience of Funding Loop software.
Previous experience of Nursery Management software (e.g Famly / Connect / EyWorks)
Previous experience of working in a software support role.
GDPR and handling personal data.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role based at our Woking office. After the initial office based induction / training period you will be required to spend 3 days per week in the office, and will have the flexibility to work from home for the remaining 2 days should you wish. This arrangement supports flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with your team and the wider business.

Candidates must currently reside in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. This role will require a Basic DBS check.
