Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled general builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills and experience in various aspects of building and renovation projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, contributing to high-quality workmanship and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. The successful applicant will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks, demonstrating versatility and professionalism in all aspects of construction work.

Duties

Carry out carpentry tasks, including framing, fitting, and finishing work
Perform roofing repairs and installations with precision and safety awareness
Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various building tasks
Fabricate custom components or structures as needed for specific projects
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and project specifications
Must be able to plaster and Render to a good standard

Skills

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry,
Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, etc.
Competence in operating power tools including drills, grinders, and saws
Ability to undertake fabrication tasks with precision and attention to detail
Strong understanding of construction processes and safety procedures
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
Adaptability to different construction environments and project requirements

This position is ideal for a versatile builder eager to apply their diverse skill set within a dynamic construction environment. Applicants should demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Pay: £18.00-£25.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Okehampton EX20 3QU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
