Due to exceptional business growth, A&T Enclosures, based in Dudley, have an excellent opportunity for a Fitter to join our expanding team.
A&T Enclosures is a small, local business, previously family run, who specialize in manufacturing electrical enclosures. With an overall head count of around 75 employees, we are ever growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join the team!

We have two shifts available to fill:
DAYS - 6.00am - 2.30pm working Monday - Friday
OR
DAYS - 7.30am - 4.00pm working Monday - Thursday & 6.00am - 2.30pm on Fridays
Overtime is available based on business requirements.
We are not looking to fill this position through a recruitment agency.
Responsibilities:
As we manufacture bespoke electrical enclosures, this role would fit an assembler or fitter with experience working with hand tools that has previously worked with heavy duty products (doors, windows etc).
- Become multiskilled within the department to cover goods inwards, kitting, prepping, standard, copper fit and despatch
- Ensure all jobs are kitted correctly as per the drawings
- Complete any preparation work on mounting/glanding plates
- Fit necessary nut inserts, gaskets and pemm studs
- Update any necessary paperwork with any adjustments, deviations from designs and any modifications
- Use hand tools to fit panels together as per the specifications
- Perform welding operations to join sheet metal and components together, ensuring industry standards are maintained
- Adhere to job timings where possible and report time concerns as early as possible
- Ensure loads are quality inspected prior to packaging and ensure that packaging requirements specified by the customer are upheld
Requirements:
- Experience working with design specifications and customer requirements
- Experience working with sheet metal sizing ranging between 1.2mm - 3mm thickness
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed
- Experience with assembly of large items such as furniture, doors, windows etc
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexible with additional hours paid at overtime rate
