As an Optometrist at Robert Glass, you’ll be central to providing outstanding patient care, using advanced technology, collaborating with a skilled team and making a real difference to eyecare and wellbeing in your community.

Experience

Demonstrated success as an UK Optometrist, delivering high-quality care within fast-paced clinical environments.
In-depth expertise in detecting and managing a wide range of eye conditions and visual system disorders.
Skilled in providing tailored patient care across all age groups, with a strong emphasis on compassionate senior care.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex clinical information into clear, reassuring advice for patients.
Highly self-motivated, commercially aware and organised, thriving both independently and as part of a professional healthcare team.
Interested in Colorimetry/Coloured Overlay, Vision therapy

Responsibilities

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive, patient-focused environment committed to outstanding eye care.

· Taking the lead in clinics while consistently delivering exceptional patient care

· Using advanced diagnostic technology to assess eye health and provide expert guidance

· Delivering enhanced services, from triage support to more complex assessments, tailored to store needs

· Providing clinical guidance and support to colleagues on the shop floor

· Working closely with external healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes

· Continuously developing and sharing clinical knowledge with the wider team

· Contributing as a key member of the store’s leadership team, bringing enthusiasm and insight to every shift

What we’re looking for (essential requirements)

· We’re looking for an Optometrist who is confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients.

· GOC registered

NHS performer number

· Strong communication and organisational abilities

· A genuine passion for delivering excellent patient care and working collaboratively as part of a team

· Experience supporting enhanced services, CUES, Pre/Post cataract etc

· A strong understanding of local clinical networks
