Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical supplies and medication to various healthcare facilities and clients in a timely and safe manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and strong communication to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. The Pharmacy Driver will play a vital part in maintaining the efficiency of our pharmacy services while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of medication orders, following all route schedules.
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of pharmaceutical products.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, pharmacy staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Maintain a clean and organised vehicle to ensure safety and efficiency during deliveries.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, especially within pharmacy or healthcare settings.
Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of loading or unloading deliveries.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
Proven reliability with a good driving record and adherence to safety standards.
