We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our busy Vascular Ward team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute setting caring for patients with a wide range of vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease, diabetic foot complications, aneurysms, and post-operative vascular surgery patients.
Our ward provides high-quality specialist care within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will work closely with vascular surgeons, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, and discharge teams to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
We have a varied shift pattern of early shifts (0730-1400), late shifts (13:30-2000), long days (0730-2000), night shifts (1930-0800).
Deliver high standards of nursing care to vascular and surgical patients
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Monitor deteriorating patients and respond appropriately to acute clinical needs
Support patients pre- and post-operatively
Administer medications and treatments in line with NHS policies
Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team
Provide education and support to patients and relatives
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Supervise and support junior staff and students where appropriat
