Location: Various – on site across NI & ROI, Full time (40 hours per week + overtime)
Environment: Working on solar PV installations in homes and businesses across Ireland and ROI. The role requires some overnights. Our yard is based in Dromore, Co. Tyrone and the team will meet here to prepare equipment, so proximity is important.
About the role: Due to continued growth, we’re recruiting for a fully qualified electrician to join our team of solar PV installers. This role is not suitable for apprentices.
- Electrical: You’ll be wiring and testing elements of solar PV, battery energy storage systems and EV chargers in a range of environments. Previous clients have included BT, Belfast Met and DeliLites. You’ll also be required to maintain accurate records and evidence of work.
- Customer service: You’ll be responsible for showing customers how their systems work and setting up monitoring apps. You’ll need to be comfortable explaining the basic system functions and key features.
Qualifications: Full electrical qualifications – C&G 2360/5357/2357 or equivalent, AM2 or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 1-year on site experience
Skills: Good level of verbal and written communication, ability to work with a team or alone, commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
Desirable criteria:
- Full driving license
- City and Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or a commitment to undertake training as per Training Agreement)
- Previous solar PV experience
- Working at height training, IPAF license, CSR card
You’ll develop skills in a growing industry, working across a range of large and small-scale installations. The salary will reflect your experience and qualifications and you’ll get an annual tools allowance.
Four site days per week: We’ll aim to schedule all installations from Monday – Thursday. Friday will be flexible, with time used to prepare equipment for the upcoming week, undertake training, complete paperwork or project completion (e.g. in the case of weather delays or unavoidable deadlines).

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
