Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial settings, demonstrating attention to detail and a professional approach. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise your artistic flair, and contribute to transforming spaces with colour and finish. Work in a self employed basis
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to meet project requirements
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate work schedules and project details
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for each project
- Complete projects within agreed timeframes whilst maintaining high standards of quality
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating, with a portfolio of completed projects preferred
- Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between sites
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating works
This role requires applicants to be organised, reliable, and attentive to detail. A background in construction painting combined with excellent communication skills will ensure success in this position. The ability to drive between sites is advantageous but not essential. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on every project.
Pay: £17.00 per hour
