Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the kitchen's daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. You will work closely with senior chefs to prepare ingredients, assist in cooking processes, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients according to recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by following instructions from senior chefs to ensure timely dish delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations
Help with food production tasks such as portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes before they are served
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
Follow all health and safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment
Contribute to inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies or expired items
Work in other areas of the hotel when necessary

Skills

Proven kitchen experience or culinary training in a fast-paced hospitality setting
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation tasks effectively
Supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team management
Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors
Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently during busy service hours
Passion for food production, serving guests, and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
