Job Overview

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Dog Handler, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities through the use of specially trained security dogs. This energetic and engaging position involves patrolling premises, conducting surveillance, and preventing loss or theft with the assistance of highly trained canine partners. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will ensure a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets alike. Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises using both foot and vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
Utilize CCTV systems to oversee key areas, ensuring continuous surveillance and quick response to incidents
Work closely with trained security dogs to detect unauthorized access, contraband, or potential threats
Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism early and intervening appropriately
Perform routine inspections of facilities, including perimeter checks and fence line audits
Respond swiftly to emergencies by coordinating with emergency services and executing first aid procedures when necessary
Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and surveillance activities to ensure accurate record-keeping

Qualifications

Proven experience in security operations or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Strong understanding of surveillance techniques, including CCTV operation and monitoring skills
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining alertness and professionalism
Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and basic first aid procedures is highly desirable
Excellent observation skills with a keen eye for detail and suspicious behavior
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Valid certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring
