As the company continues to expand its digital presence and online customer engagement channels, we are seeking an experienced Web Designer to take responsibility for the design, development, optimisation and maintenance of our web platforms and associated digital systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our online services, improving customer experience, supporting marketing activities and ensuring our digital infrastructure remains secure, efficient and aligned with business objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Designing, developing and maintaining the company's websites and digital platforms.
Creating responsive, user-friendly and visually engaging web interfaces across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
Improving website functionality, performance and loading speeds.
Developing and implementing UI/UX enhancements to improve user engagement and customer journeys.
Managing website architecture, navigation structures and content layouts.
Creating and maintaining property search systems, enquiry forms and customer lead generation tools.
Integrating websites with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms and third-party applications.
Monitoring and improving website search engine performance through effective SEO implementation.
Conducting keyword research and implementing on-page SEO best practices.
Managing website analytics and reporting on user behaviour, traffic and conversion performance.
Implementing tracking tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other reporting platforms.
Supporting digital marketing campaigns through landing page development and website enhancements.
Maintaining website security, backups and technical performance.
Troubleshooting website issues and implementing corrective actions promptly.
Testing websites across multiple browsers, devices and operating systems.
Ensuring compliance with accessibility, usability and industry standards.
Updating website content, graphics and multimedia assets as required.
Collaborating with management and marketing teams to support branding and business objectives.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of digital systems and online customer engagement.
Providing technical support and guidance relating to website functionality and digital systems.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
Degree qualification in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, Digital Media or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum five years' experience in website design and development.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Experience working with WordPress and other Content Management Systems (CMS).
Experience developing responsive websites for desktop and mobile platforms.
Strong understanding of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design principles.
Experience implementing Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategies.
Knowledge of website performance optimisation techniques.
Experience integrating websites with CRM systems and marketing platforms.
Experience using website analytics and reporting tools.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The following would be advantageous:
Experience working within the property, estate agency or real estate sector.
Knowledge of PHP, MySQL and modern web development frameworks.
Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console and Google Tag Manager.
Understanding of digital advertising and conversion optimisation.
Experience with website security management and cyber security best practices.
Knowledge of graphic design software and digital content creation.
Experience integrating API-based systems and third-party applications.
Familiarity with cloud hosting environments and website deployment processes.
