Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About TG Group

TG Group is a well-established, family-run business with a strong reputation across multiple divisions including; builders merchants, concrete, aggregates and waste.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Garage Mechanic to join our busy workshop team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional Saturday overtime: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vans, HGVs and light commercial vehicles
Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Support the wider team to keep the workshop running efficiently
Good understanding of current MOT testing standards and regulations

Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanic or vehicle technician
Relevant qualifications
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK HGV driving licence (Essential)
MOT Tester Qualifications (Desirable)
