Electrician

Hull / Yorkshire / Leeds

Benefits

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (including lunch)
Travel: Door-to-door paid
On-Call: 1 in 8 rota + £120 standby payment
Holiday: 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus your birthday off

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Commercial Electrician looking to join a well-established building services company with over 30 years of success?

We're looking for an Electrician to join our growing team, carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a wide range of commercial properties throughout Hull , Leeds and Yorkshire.

Working with long-standing contracts across the NHS, education, government buildings, offices and industrial sites, you'll become part of a supportive engineering team with genuine opportunities for progression.

The Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical maintenance and repair works, ensuring clients receive a professional and reliable service.

Duties Include

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Reactive maintenance and electrical repairs.
Fault finding and diagnostics.
Emergency lighting testing and repairs.
Lighting upgrades and replacements.
Small electrical installation works.
Consumer unit and distribution board maintenance.
Power and lighting circuits.
Testing and inspection where qualified.
Completing remedial works following EICRs.
Accurately completing job reports using a PDA.
Liaising professionally with customers and site management.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.

Experience Required

Previous experience as a Commercial Electrician.
Experience carrying out service, maintenance and fault finding.
Strong diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (desirable)
ECS Card (desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence
