Housekeeper/Cleaner - Adlington House, Otley LS21 1FQ

Adlington Management Services (AMS) is an innovative specialist manager of high-quality retirement accommodation with care. The company is part of the multi-award-winning developer, Adlington Retirement Living.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Housekeeper for our Retirement Living Community. Exclusively for the over 65’s, Adlington House situated in Otley.

Homeowners of the 48 privately-owned apartments will benefit from modern, stylish living in a safe and secure environment. The development offers an independent lifestyle with tailored care and support available if needed, in addition to a host of communal facilities such as an on-site restaurant, Homeowners’ lounge, activities studio, therapy room, hairdressing salon, and more.

Purpose of role:

As a Housekeeper your role is to carry out communal cleaning duties in line with the planned cleaning schedule, to ensure a clean and attractive environment for Homeowners, their families, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include:

· Carry out checks throughout the working day to ensure the communal areas are always clean and presentable.

- Carry out cleans to a high standard for homeowners in their apartments.

· Ensure use of all cleaning products and equipment are used correctly and understand COSHH.

· Report any equipment faults, furniture defects or general cleaning concerns to the Management Team

· Complete records as required.

· Work flexibly as part of the team to ensure the daily housekeeping service requirements are maintained 7 days a week by providing cover for sickness and holidays as required.

Attractive benefits include:

A salary of £12.71 per hour, for a 15 hours per week communal cleaning contract. Homeowner cleans are in addition to this and are classed as overtime. Total hours per week approx 15.

· 153 hours per annum annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays

· 6% employer pension

· Working in a purpose-built retirement community

· Support from a professional on-site team
