Client Relationship & Sales Consultant
£34,000–£38,000 depending on experience
Full-time | Permanent | Office-based | Stockbridge, Hampshire
Consultative Sales | Relationship Management | Business Development
Are you an experienced sales, business development, account management or relationship management professional who excels at building trust and guiding customers through important purchasing decisions?
Access Care is looking for an experienced Client Relationship & Sales Consultant to join our established, family-run business in Stockbridge.
You'll take ownership of new client enquiries from the first conversation through to successful commencement, combining outstanding customer service with consultative sales, relationship management and disciplined follow-up.
Our approach to sales is consultative and relationship-led. Our clients are often making significant decisions for themselves or someone they love, so you'll need to listen carefully, understand what matters and provide thoughtful recommendations — whilst taking clear ownership of your pipeline, conversion and commercial performance.
You do not need previous experience in the care sector. We're much more interested in your ability to build trust, manage a sales pipeline, convert enquiries, communicate brilliantly and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
If you've worked in consultative sales, recruitment, estate agency, account management, business development, luxury hospitality, private client services or another relationship-led commercial environment, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As our Client Relationship & Sales Consultant, you'll take ownership of each client journey from initial enquiry through to commencement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding promptly to new enquiries by telephone, email and video consultation.
- Building trust and rapport with prospective clients and their families from the first conversation.
- Understanding each household's circumstances, requirements, lifestyle and expectations.
- Guiding clients confidently through their options and recommending the most appropriate live-in care arrangement.
- Delivering a concierge-level client experience through proactive communication and personal attention.
- Preparing and presenting thoughtful, bespoke client proposals.
- Confidently discussing fees, expected investment and available options.
- Taking ownership of your enquiry pipeline from initial contact through to commencement.
- Maintaining disciplined and proactive follow-up with prospective clients.
- Maximising enquiry conversion through thoughtful, consultative sales and exceptional relationship management.
- Achieving agreed commencement and revenue objectives.
- Monitoring pipeline activity, conversion and opportunities for progression.
- Building relationships with professional referrers and identifying new business opportunities.
- Providing accurate pipeline updates and forecasts.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and client documentation.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver successful client and carer introductions.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines commercial confidence with exceptional relationship-building skills.
You'll ideally bring:
- A proven track record in sales, business development, account management or another commercially focused customer-facing role.
- Experience managing enquiries, opportunities or a sales pipeline from initial contact through to conversion.
- A strong track record of building trust and developing long-term client relationships.
- Confidence guiding customers through significant or considered purchasing decisions.
- Excellent telephone manner and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence discussing financial investment and managing commercial conversations professionally.
- Strong follow-up discipline and the motivation to progress opportunities.
- Emotional intelligence and excellent judgement.
- Confidence handling sensitive or complex conversations with empathy and discretion.
- Excellent organisation, administration and time management.
- The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities simultaneously.
- Confidence using CRM or other customer management systems.
- Strong general IT skills.
Experience working with private clients, professional referrers or high-value services would be advantageous.
Previous care-sector experience is not required. Full training in Access Care, live-in care and the way we work will be provided.
