We are looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our established fundraising team, supporting a charity with a proud 130-year history of working with and supporting the visually impaired community.
About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a friendly and experienced fundraising team, helping to raise vital income and awareness for a long-established local charity. The roles are available on a part-time basis, but may be combined to create a full-time position for the right candidate.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and motivated, with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting the work of the charity. Experience in fundraising, events, administration, customer service or community engagement would be helpful, but most important is a positive attitude and willingness to get involved.
ICorporate & Events Fundraising Officer
Responsible to: Fundraising & Marketing Manager
Hours: 21 hours per week. We are flexible in when these hours are worked
Salary: Between £28,000 -£32,000 pro rata
dependant on relevant experience
Role Summary
The purpose of this role is to maximise sustainable income generation through the development and management of corporate partnerships and fundraising events. The postholder will build and steward strong relationships with corporate supporters, identify and secure new partnership opportunities, and deliver engaging fundraising events and campaigns that enhance income and supporter engagement.
Using data-driven insight, effective communication, and collaborative working across the organisation, the role will contribute to the growth, profile, and long-term sustainability of the charity’s fundraising activities while ensuring an excellent experience for supporters, sponsors, and partners.
Responsibilities
· To maximise sustainable income generation by managing the development and implementation of corporate relationships and stewardship.
· To be responsible for the project management of fundraising events
· To use and develop the fundraising database to effectively monitor, analyse and interpret event and corporate performance and inform the growth of these income streams.
Project Management
Corporate
· Manage existing corporate partners and supporters to maintain relationships and encourage ongoing commitment.
· Develop and nurture existing corporate partnerships to deliver a greater and more diverse income.
· Proactively research and source new contacts and develop new corporate relationships across Northamptonshire.
· Create written proposals and pitches for new corporate support.
· Responsibility for written and verbal communication with corporate donors.
· Working with the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising Officer, use social media and marketing and PR techniques to maximise profile of corporate partnerships.
Events
· Lead on the organisation and delivery of NAB fundraising events.
· Produce and deliver on a yearly events calendar appealing to our supporters.
· Develop scalable campaigns to support participation in our fundraising campaigns.
· Maintain our relationship with participation event organisers we are already working with and develop new ones.
· Working with the Volunteer Coordinators manage the recruitment of volunteers for/at our events.
· Secure sponsorship for NAB events and campaigns.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain up to date records on donor database, ensuring all supporter activity is effectively recorded.
- Alongside the Marketing, Communications & Fundraising Officer, promote and advertise the fundraising activities of NAB through multiple streams, with particular focus on social media, broadcast and online marketing.
Strategy & Planning
· Working alongside the Grants Development & Marketing Manager to produce and execute an effective and sustainable corporate giving and events plan in order to grow income from new and existing donors
· Create and implement effective supporter journeys in order to maximise the engagement and retention of individual supporters
· Identify potential new corporate donors and implement acquisition strategies in order to grow the corporate donor base
· Work across the organisation to champion and promote corporate giving and events
Person Specification – Corporate Partnerships & Events Fundraiser
Essential Experience
- Experience of working in a fundraising, sales, marketing, events, or relationship management role.
- Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders, supporters, or corporate partners.
- Experience of organising and delivering events or campaigns.
- Experience of working with databases/CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Experience of using social media and digital platforms to promote campaigns, events, or engagement activity.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare proposals, presentations, and supporter communications.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce reports.
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
- Creative approach to fundraising, supporter engagement, and event development.
- Understanding of the importance of excellent supporter care and stewardship.
- Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practice.

- Understanding of fundraising regulations and GDPR requirements.
- Knowledge of Northamptonshire business communities and networks.
- Relevant qualification in fundraising, marketing, communications, business, or event management.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
