Bank Support Worker – Evenings and weekends

Location: Lyndhurst

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Minstead Trust is a values-driven charity focused on supporting adults with learning disabilities across Dorset and Hampshire. As a Trust we put the People we Support at the heart of everything we do. We support them to achieve greater independence and live happier and healthier lives. This can be done through support to live in their own homes, learning new skills at day opportunities or receiving work training to move towards employment. 

We celebrate people by working to provide excellent support to those with wide-ranging care needs. Without our incredible team of staff and volunteers, we simply wouldn’t be where we are today!  

The Role:

To support individuals to meet their goals and outcomes in health, wellbeing and independence.
Assist individuals with their personal, social and healthcare needs as required whilst maintaining accurate records.
To work as part of a team as well as lone working within the community as needed.
Work with allocated individuals as their keyworker.
Interact and communicate with the people you support in a way that promotes dignity and respect.
Support individuals with everyday tasks as required.

What are we looking for?

Motivated, honest and approachable individuals who are great at building and nurturing relationships.
Experience of providing high levels of care and support to those with learning disabilities in a social care setting.
Aspirations to develop skills at support worker level and beyond!
Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care is desirable but training will be provided.
A full valid driving licence is essential

Other important information: 

Due to the role a UK valid Driving licence is essential 
This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure, which the cost incurred will be paid by Minstead Trust
