Full job description

Guide, Oxford Illusion Museum

Location: 133 High Street, Oxford

Hours: 8 hours per week contract available, with possibility of overtime

Salary: £23,000 pro rata, equivalent to £14.06/hr

Reporting to: Manager, Charlotte Waring

Purpose of role

You will make visitors feel welcome, help them take great photos, enjoy the exhibits and serve drinks in the museum cafe.

Key responsibilities

You will work with the team to welcome in and assist visitors with the museum’s displays, including demonstrations, assisting in taking photographs, and running activities within the museum.
Ticketing and ushering visitors around the museum.
Serving customers in the museum cafe and shop.
Any other duties reasonably required

What we’re looking for

Friendly and sociable approach to a customer service environment.
Eager to share the Museum’s displays with the public in an engaging manner
A creative outlook to take on new challenges and learn new things

Experience within a museum or gallery setting is not required. We are excited to accept candidates who share our enthusiasm and team spirit. Training will be provided where required.
