Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant (Nights) to provide high-quality support to residents in a care home setting. This role involves delivering personalised care during overnight shifts, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to maintaining a respectful and caring environment for all individuals.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility during night hours
Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing throughout the shift, reporting any concerns to senior staff
Support residents in accordance with individual care plans, respecting their dignity and preferences
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
Ensure the safety and security of residents by conducting regular checks and responding promptly to their needs
Support with meal preparation and assistance if required during night shifts
Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures

Experience

Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively
Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes
Good command of English language, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly with residents and team members
Driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory; flexibility in transportation arrangements may be required depending on the role's location
Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards residents’ needs

Job Type: Full-time
