Full job description

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Business and Operations Officer to support the effective running of our College in this term time only role.

This is a varied role combining administration, operations, data management and coordination. You will play a key role in student admissions, staff onboarding and maintaining accurate data within our MIS system.

Working closely with the Vice Principal and Head of Business and Operations, you will help ensure processes are efficient, compliant and deliver a high-quality experience for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate student admissions processes, including assessments, meetings and documentation
Maintain accurate student records using the College MIS system
Support student onboarding and induction processes
Provide administrative support for staff onboarding, including system set-up and training coordination
Act as the main point of contact for MIS queries and support colleagues in its use
Produce reports, surveys and documents for senior leadership and governors
Support operational activity, including facilities, health & safety and contracts
Assist with financial administration such as costings, reconciliations and expense processes
Take minutes and support internal and external meetings

Requirements

Essential:

Degree (or Level 6) in Business, Finance, Mathematics or related numerical/operational discipline.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team

Desirable:

Experience in an administrative, education or charity setting
Experience using MIS or database systems
Interest in supporting young people with additional needs

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
