The Vacancy
Join Our Facilities Management Team
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities Management team, supporting maintenance, catering, and cleaning services across multiple sites.
Hospice in the Weald is a well-established, multi-site charity, with additional support from a network of retail shops across Kent, East Sussex, and Surrey.
As a Facilities Management Coordinator (FMC), you will play a vital role in providing both administrative and operational support. Acting as a central point of coordination, you will manage our helpdesk system, oversee reactive and planned maintenance, and ensure all compliance records are maintained accurately.
This is a newly created position, offering a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of the team. You will have the chance to contribute to the development of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
As the first point of contact for facilities-related queries, this role is integral to the smooth running of services. Your work will help ensure high standards are consistently delivered, supporting excellent patient care, promoting staff wellbeing, and maintaining compliance within a sensitive healthcare environment.
The Company
Hospice in the Weald was founded in 1980 as a small home-care service in West Kent, born out of local community effort to support people with life-limiting illnesses.
Over the decades it has grown from those humble beginnings into a vital palliative care charity serving West Kent and northern East Sussex, expanding its services to include an in-patient ward, day services, outreach and counselling support, all free of charge, as well as innovative new provisions such as children’s care and the Cottage Hospice at Five Ashes.
Today, more than 40 years on, Hospice in the Weald continues to provide compassionate, personalised care to patients and their loved ones, celebrating life and offering dignity at the end of life for thousands in the local community.
