Job Title: Café Assistant – Beach Box Cafés

Location: Working across 2 sites - Harlyn & Mawgan Porth.

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Weekends

Pay: Varies dependent on age

About Us:
At Beach Box Café, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, drinks, and experiences to every customer. We are looking for friendly, motivated, and customer-focused individuals to join our team and help us maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve customers efficiently with food and drink orders and handle payments accurately.
Assist in the preparation, cleaning, and tidying of the café, tables, and surrounding grounds before, during, and after service.
Prepare hot & cold food/drinks for service to ensure speed and quality.
Deliver outstanding customer service, providing advice and recommendations on menu items.
Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and rotate supplies to maintain café readiness.
Manage queues, upsell products, and ensure a positive customer experience to drive repeat business.
Handle customer complaints professionally and report feedback to management.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
Maintain café security, including handling cash, taking payments, and closing up safely.
Assist with displays and promotions to enhance customer engagement.
Perform any other duties necessary to support Beach Box Café’s operations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or customer service role preferred.
Barista skills.
Knowledge of food allergies and intolerances is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness and safety.
A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
