Full job description

Front of House Cashier & Host

Hans Buffet Restaurant is looking for a friendly, organised and detail-oriented team member to join our reception team.

This role is primarily focused on welcoming guests, managing reservations, handling customer enquiries and processing payments. We are looking for someone who is confident communicating with customers and able to remain professional in a busy environment.

Main Duties:

Processing customer payments and operating the till
Answering phone calls and taking bookings
Handling customer enquiries in person and over the phone
Providing accurate information regarding reservations, pricing and restaurant services
Maintaining accurate booking records and ensuring attention to detail at all times
Greeting and seating guests
Managing reservations and walk-in customers
Delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive guest experience

Requirements:

Ability to prioritise tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail
Friendly, professional and approachable manner
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods
Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
Availability for weekday morning shifts is essential
Previous customer service, reception or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
Right to work in the UK
