Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis Chef or CDP to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. A background in hospitality and restaurant environments is preferred. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. We operate a four day working week. Wage depends on experience.

Responsibilities

Be part of a kitchen team producing great food.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
Food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage procedures
Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely serving of meals
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Train new staff members in food preparation, safety procedures, and service techniques
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
Assist in menu planning and development to reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring guest satisfaction through excellent service

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive culinary knowledge covering food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving guests is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
