Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and Pun Cook, where your energy and dedication will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. This vital role combines essential cleaning, organization, and food preparation duties with the opportunity to develop culinary skills in a lively, fast-paced environment. Whether supporting our chef or assisting with basic food prep, you'll be at the heart of delivering exceptional guest experiences through teamwork and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards by thoroughly washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as chopping ingredients or assembling simple dishes
Support the kitchen team by ensuring all areas are organized, stocked, and ready for service
Help with waste disposal and recycling to uphold environmental standards within the kitchen
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during daily operations
Support serving staff by providing clean utensils and assisting in setting up dining areas when needed
Contribute to a positive team environment by staying motivated, proactive, and attentive to kitchen needs

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety protocols
Good physical stamina for standing long hours, lifting supplies, and performing cleaning tasks
