Day Shift – Production Operator (GRP/Composites) – Little Addington
Marsh Industries Ltd is a forward-thinking, privately owned business working across multiple areas of the UK construction sector. Our specialist innovation team brings together over 100 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and testing wastewater treatment products that are proven to be economic, efficient, and environmentally sustainable.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for GRP Sprayers and Assemblers to join our Little Addington site on the Day Shift.
Day Shift Details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00–15:00 (42.5 hours per week)
- Pay: £15.00 per hour, increasing to £16.50 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities:
GRP Sprayer:
- Preparing moulds and work surfaces for GRP spraying, including cleaning and waxing
- Spraying fibreglass and gel coats onto moulds
- Consolidating and finishing sprayed products
- Maintaining and cleaning spray guns
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with CoSHH, PPE and other health & safety requirements
- Work to production schedules, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Collaborate with the wider production team, supporting training and continuous improvement activities
Assembler:
- Building and assembling water treatment tanks and pump stations
- Working from precise technical drawings, SSOW and job cards
- Carry out cutting, trimming, bonding, drilling, and fitting of GRP components
- Assemble internal baffles, fittings, brackets, pipework, and other accessories into tanks, vessels, and structures
- Apply adhesives in accordance with company standards and specifications
- Inspect finished assemblies for accuracy, fit, and quality, carrying out adjustments and repairs where necessary
- Work with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain good housekeeping standards, keeping work areas safe and tidy
- Meeting production schedules in a fast-paced environment
- Assist colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment, supporting problem-solving and process improvements
- Follow health and safety rules, including PPE use and safe handling of GRP materials
Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience with GRP products is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production schedules
- Commitment to safe working practices, including correct use of PPE
- Understanding of CoSHH, PPE use, and safe handling of hazardous materials
- Good attention to detail and ability to spot defects or inconsistencies
