Full job description

Job Title: Class 2 Hooklift Driver/Yard operative

Location: Port Sunlight, Wirral
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Full-time)
Salary: 14.50 per hour (overtime at £25.00 per hour)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Hooklift Driver/Yard operative to join our team. This is a full-time position offering consistent hours and the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating a Class 2 Hooklift vehicle safely and efficiently
Delivering and collecting skips as required
Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with regulations
Completing relevant paperwork as required
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Providing excellent customer service at all times
Adhering to all health & safety procedures and company policies
Loading/Unloading vehicles and ensuring materials are handled correctly
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard environment

Requirements:

Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
Proven Hooklift experience (essential)
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Good knowledge of driver hours and road transport regulations
Forklift truck experience preferred
Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
