The Role
We are seeking a proactive Electrical Supervisor to lead a team of electricians and apprentices. You will oversee the safe delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and electrical testing across commercial contracts. This role balances on-site technical leadership with compliance management and service delivery verification. This role will be a 60/40 split between site and office.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Daily scheduling, field supervision, and task allocation for internal electricians and apprentices.
- Maintenance & Operations: Oversee compliance testing, including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and emergency lighting.
- Technical Support: Act as the senior electrical point of contact for engineers and escalation of on-site issues. Liaise with electrical manager where necessary.
- Compliance Management: Review, sign off, and verify electrical installation and minor works certification, ready to issue to electrical manager.
- Safety Verification: Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure all works adhere to statutory Health & Safety legislation.
- System Tracking: Manage workflow allocation, closure, and asset histories using the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system. (training provided)
Qualifications & Experience
- Trade Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (or equivalent standard).
- Regulations: Valid 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
- Testing & Inspection: City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent 2394/2395 combination).
- Experience: Time served electrician or similar. Held a supervisor or similar role in previous employment.
- Leadership: Proven track record in a supervisory, team leader, or Qualifying Supervisor role.
- Requirements: Full valid UK Driving Licence and eligibility for JIB Gold Card status.

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
