Make a Meaningful Difference Every Day – Join Langley as a Relief Support Worker

Langley is pleased to offer an opportunity for compassionate and motivated Residential Day Relief Support Workers to join our friendly, dedicated team in Poole. This flexible relief role allows you to work with the Manager to arrange shifts that suit your availability. We are looking out for staff for both night and day shifts.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £12.75 per hour (£13.88 for unsocial hours), reflecting the value and positive impact of this important work.

About the Role

Prepare and support clients through induction, prison assessments, and move-on planning to achieve positive outcomes.
Deliver programmes and key work sessions that promote reintegration and personal development within the premises.
Manage risk effectively by contributing to risk plans, monitoring compliance, and sharing updates at professional meetings.
Maintain daily operations including client entry/exit, record-keeping, and adherence to data protection and confidentiality standards.
Promote positive behaviour and compliance with rules and licence conditions, using pro-social modelling and fair enforcement.
Safeguard wellbeing and safety through referrals, mandatory testing, medication procedures, emergency response, and liaison with agencies.

About You

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build professional, respectful relationships.
Calm and resilient under pressure, able to de-escalate situations and respond appropriately to risk.
A professional, non-judgemental attitude, always maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.
Willingness to complete additional training as required by the needs of the service.
Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and unsociable hours as part of a rota.
