Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Glazier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, installing, repairing, and replacing glass in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, fit, and install glass for windows, doors, partitions, mirrors, shopfronts, and other structures.
- Remove broken or damaged glass safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
- Install and secure glass using glazing compounds, sealants, rubber gaskets.
- Have a great understanding of upvc, timber and aluminium glazing systems.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, and safety standards.
- Transport glass materials carefully to job sites.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- 5 Years minimum experience
- Ability to read measurements and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of glazing techniques, tools, and materials.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS card preferred but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Have good time keeping and attendance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with commercial storefront systems.
- Extensive knowledge of triple, double and single glazing systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position. Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm
- Work may be indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
