Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fish Fryer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and frying. This role involves preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent kitchen experience, culinary skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional meal experiences to our customers.

Duties

Prepare and fry fish and other meals
Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, maintaining high quality and presentation
Operate frying equipment safely and effectively, monitoring cooking times and temperatures
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Serve dishes to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety standards are met
Manage stock levels of ingredients, notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fish Fryer or similar role within a restaurant or catering setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy pots or trays
