We are seeking a skilled Gardener / Grounds Care Operative to join our team, 2 or 4 days a week, weekends are not required.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener / Grounds Care Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves working with power tools to maintain gardens, lawns, and other green spaces, ensuring they remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing.
The hours would not be split over 5 days, it would be 2 or 4 full days a week. There is room for some flexibility on days, should the candidate need.
Our base is TR4, Truro, but we cover Cornwall.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance of gardens including weeding, pruning, and mulching.
- Monitor plant health and identify things that may affect growth.
- Mow grass, cut hedges, clear leaves; as required.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Plant, cultivate, and maintain a variety of plants, flowers, and shrubs.
- Potential for assisting in the design and layout of garden spaces to enhance visual appeal.
- Provide support in landscape maintenance projects as required.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse, well rounded practicale skill set, with knowledge of commercial landscaping and maintenance.
Ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards is paramount. This role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work independantly, whilst using your initiative - as well as collaboratively within a team.
