Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) is a well-established Cornish charity working alongside communities to enable people and places to thrive.

You would be joining a positive and dedicated team of professionals of 100 plus staff as we develop our key themes of work. We are seeking an outstanding and experienced Strategic Manager to lead the development, growth and long-term direction of our Education and Training provision.
This is a senior and influential role within the organisation, working directly with the Chief Executive and as part of CRCC’s strategic leadership structure to shape both service delivery and future organisational direction.
About the role
This role provides strategic leadership for a significant and growing area of CRCC’s work, with responsibility for shaping an ambitious, inclusive and sustainable education and training offer across Cornwall.
You will lead the continued development of Learn Your Way, Work Your Way and associated programmes, ensuring high-quality delivery alongside a strong focus on innovation, growth and future service design within this theme of work for CRCC.
The role combines strategic oversight, organisational leadership and external influence, ensuring CRCC is well positioned within local systems, partnerships and commissioning environments.
You will play a key role in developing new opportunities, strengthening partnerships and increasing CRCC’s reach, impact and income in this area.
What you will do
· Provide visible senior leadership and strategic direction for Education and Training
· Lead innovation, growth and development of new programmes and services
· Maintain oversight of curriculum, quality and learner experience
· Drive the development of employability, enrichment and progression pathways
· Build and maintain relationships at a senior level with commissioners, funders, employers and partners
· Position CRCC as a credible and influential provider of inclusive education and training
· Contribute to whole-organisation strategy, leadership and external positioning
· Ensure robust oversight of finance, safeguarding, compliance and performance
About you
You will be an experienced and credible leader, bringing both strategic insight and a strong understanding of delivery.
You will bring:
· Significant experience of leading education, training or employability services
· A strong understanding of SEND, inclusion and preparation for adulthood
· A track record of developing services, partnerships and income opportunities
· Experience of operating at a senior or strategic level
· The ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships across sectors
· A commitment to values-led leadership and co-production
