As a Quality Manager within Leonardo’s Electronic Warfare business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping quality culture and ensuring the successful delivery of products and programmes that meet the highest customer and regulatory expectations. Working closely with Programme Managers, Engineering, Manufacturing and Senior Stakeholders, you will lead a team of Quality Engineers while providing strategic quality leadership across the full product lifecycle.
What you’ll do as a Quality Manager:
Lead the deployment of the Quality Strategy within your assigned Sector, promoting a proactive culture of quality, continuous improvement and customer focus.
Provide Leadership and governance across projects, products and services, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and business requirements.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, acting as the primary quality focal point for your business area.
Lead, coach and develop a team of Quality Engineers to deliver quality objectives, build capability and drive high performance.
Drive effective Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities, ensuring sustainable solutions are implemented and lessons learned are embedded.
Support programme teams through quality planning, risk management, project assurance and lifecycle reviews.
Support the management of non-conformance, customer complaints, cost of quality reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Establish and monitor meaningful quality performance indicators to support data-driven decision making.
Represent the Quality Function at Sector, Programme and Integrated Project Team reviews.
Deliver independent quality assessments and assurance activities that support programme delivery and risk reduction.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience in a quality Management or Senior Quality Engineering role within aerospace, defence, electronics, advanced manufacturing or other highly regulated industries.
Strong Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
Demonstrable experience leading Root Cause Corrective Action investigations using recognised methodologies such as 8D, DMAIC or equivalent.
Experience applying risk-based quality management and continuous improvement techniques.
Strong Quality Governance and Assurance experience.
Ability to analyse complex data, identify trends and implement effective improvement strategies.
Experience leading and developing teams, driving accountability and delivering results through others.
Experience working within programme, engineering and manufacturing environments.
