Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting adults, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact within the community by providing personalised care and support tailored to individual needs. The role involves working closely with families, and other professionals to promote a nurturing environment for adults with physical disability and at the end of their life

Duties

Provide direct care and support to service users in a care home setting
participate in developing individualised care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
Support service users with daily activities, including personal care and recreational pursuits
Foster positive relationships through effective communication, ensuring service users feel valued and understood
Monitor behaviour and emotional well-being, providing guidance and intervention where necessary
Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and progress reports in compliance with organisational policies
Work flexibly across shifts, including evenings or weekends if required, to meet the needs of the service users

Qualifications

Experience working in a social care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and colleagues
Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating empathy and patience
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and completing documentation electronically
A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable adults
